Toes

This past week Nolan's recent find is his toes.  It's so funny becasue he can't lay on his back without grabbing for his toes and rocking back and forth.  This new find makes changing his diaper and clothes difficult at times.  I caught him this weekend sucking on his big toe.  To me that's disgusting, but he LOVES it!  Either way, it's cute when he does it.

I want to give a huge thank you to my parents for watching Nolan this weekend at the last minute. I had the flu from Thursday - Sunday so Nolan went to my parents to get out of the house.  He had a fun filled weekend visiting with Gammy and Uncle Scott, they loved watching him in his jumper.  Nolan also went to church with Grandma and Grandpa and a fish fry at Grandma's school,  I think she enjoyed showing him off!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's weekend was very busy and fun.  Saturday, Travis, Justin, Allison, Paul and I went to Indiana State to watch a basketball game and see the campus.  We had a great time reminiscing, seeing all the places we lived, and visiting our old hangouts during our 4 years spent at Indiana State.  A huge thank you to Grandma for babysitting Nolan so we could have a day with our friends.

Sunday we spent the day as a family hanging out and spending time together.  We all exchanged Valentine's gifts.  Travis got me beautiful white tulips, I got Travis delicious chocolates, Dierks got a new toy, and Nolan got a monkey to play with in the bath tub.  For dinner I made a heart shaped pizza, it was delicious.

4 month stats & rice cereal

Yesterday we went to Nolan's 4 month check-up with Dr. Moreland.  She was very pleased with how he is growing and advancing.  She was suprised that he is rolling from his stomach to back and is almost rolling from his back to stomach, it has helped that he has slept on his stomach since he was 10 weeks old.  Here are Nolan's stats, he is still in the 50th percentile for height and weight:
Height: 25.25 inches
Weight: 14 lbs 8.5 oz.
We received the go ahead from Dr. Moreland to start giving Nolan rice cereal and fruits and vegetables.  Here are some pictures from our attempt last night.  Needless to say he liked the spoon more than the food and we just made a BIG mess!  It was more fun for me than anyone.  We took a viedo so as soon as I figure out how to get it on here I'll post it.
He is not to sure about what just went in his mouth
YAY for the spoon!
Dierks was great for one shot and then he was out of the kitchen!  He is still not sure about Nolan

4 Months Old!

He is trying to sit up by himself, we practice a lot
Today Nolan is 4 months old. Everyday just keeps getting better and better.  Nolan is changing and growing right before our eyes.  Thursday we have his 4 month appt. so I will post his height and weight.  Here are some pictures from the past month.

He is also trying to roll over from his back to stomach.  He has already mastered rolling from his stomach to his back

On a play date with Aiden this past Saturday, they had a blast and were both sleeping by the end.  Aiden and Nolan are 5 1/2 weeks apart, it's so fun to get them together

Spending time with Uncle Scott.  Scott just recently signed with the Air Force for 4 years.  He will go to basic training in Texas sometime this spring.  We are very proud of him and know that he will be very successful!
