30 Week Appointment and a Belly Contest

Yesterday we had our 30 weeks doctor's appointment, we are now going to the doctor every 2 weeks. I can't believe how fast my pregnancy is going! We got a good report from the doctor, I'm measuring right on track and Nolan's hearbeat is strong and beating fast. He was close to 150 which is high for a boy.

Last night I ate dinner with Joey and Jenson while Cam and Travis played golf at the Brickyard. After dinner we went outside to play some basketball. I told Jenson his basketball was about the size of Nolan (aka Noodle Mac n' Cheese if you ask Jenson what the baby's name is). He thought this was funny and he put the basketball up his shirt to see and we took a picture, it was really cute. Jenson is going to be a great cousin, I can't wait for he and Nolan to meet!

Nolan's 1st Shower

Last weekend Kim and Helaina came from Michigan to spend the weekend at our house. Travis and Dierks got to meet Helaina for the first time and they loved her. We had so much fun having Helaina and Kim visit and Dierks and Helaina became quick friends. Helaina used Nolan's crib for the weekend, I think she approved and Nolan will love his room when he makes his debut in October!

On Saturday, my 3 best friends (Kim, Katie and Megan) threw a Safari Themed couples shower for Travis and I. They threw the perfect shower with grass centerpieces, monkey cupcakes and jungle juice to top it off. We want to thank the girls for taking the time and love to throw a shower for Nolan and we would like to thank everyone that came to shower to celebrate our new little man. He has no idea how much he is already loved!

Blake Shelton

George Strait and Blake Shelton are performing in concert tonight. Blake Shelton was signing autographs today at the FYE Music Store at the Castleton Mall so Amber, Ashley and I went to meet him and get our picture taken with him. Ashely and Steve are going to the concert tonight so she had him sign her tickets. Blake was a really nice guy and extremely cute in person. We all said it was one of the best lunch break we've had in awhile!

Brown County Family Reunion

This week was the Knight Family Reunion in Brown County. Travis and I took the day off work yesterday and went to Brown County to spend a fun day with family. Travis played golf with the guys while I did a little shopping in Nashville with Travis' mom and Aunts. After shopping we spent time with some of Travis' family that I haven't had the chance to meet, I enjoyed getting to know them.

4th of July Weekend

Over 4th of July weekend Travis, my mom and I took a road trip. We started off our trip by going to Charlotte, NC so Travis could work. Then we visited my cousin Elizabeth. She has been performing in a variety of musicals and it just so happened we got to see her in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Travis has never met her until this trip and it was our first time seeing her perform. She is great to watch on stage! My cousin Tim was also visiting from Florida, we had a great visit with he and Elizabeth.

For our second part of the trip we went to Washington D.C. We were able to visit with my Uncle Jim, Aunt Sarah and cousins Jay and Abby. Travis and I spent the 4th of July touring Washington D.C. and looking at all the monuments. We had a great time touring the city, but we decided that we are definitely going to soak up the sun on the beach before we take Nolan on History tours.

We also celebrated our 1 year anniversary on July 5. I'm not sure where the year has gone, but it has been a lot of fun with a few unexpected, but wonderful changes (i.e. dog and baby). We drove home from Washington D.C. on our anniversary (romatic right?) and when we got home we had a piece of our wedding cake, it wasn't too bad for being in the freezer for a year. It was fun to participate in the tradition of eating a piece of our wedding cake on our 1 year anniversary.
